Paid College Intern

Logistics & Distribution Services Corp. is a Sparks, NV based trucking and logistics company. LDS has 70 owner operators dedicated to serving the continental United States. We also have a transportation brokerage with over 1500 qualified carriers serving the US and Canada. LDS’ customers include: Nestle USA, Pepsi, RR Donnelley, Colorite Plastics, Petsmart, Quebecor World, and a variety of other national and local customers.

Transportation Assistant

Assist in daily trucking operations. Work with company dispatch and brokerage department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Handling heavy inbound call volume
- Interfacing with drivers and customers
- Support transportation brokers and dispatch
- Heavy computer usage (Word, Excel, company operations software)

Skills Required

- Good knowledge of Word/Excel
- Excellent phone skills
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment

Opportunity

If the intern would like to design a summer independent study project, we can work closely with the intern to create a summer program to qualify for credit.
